operations
[HDD]
You can search for programmes using programme information of
titles recorded to the HDD. Also, if you select “Series Timer Rec”,
you can easily search for the programme series and set series timer
recordings.
Preparation
Press [DRIVE SELECT] to select the HDD drive.
1 During play or while stopped
Press [DIRECT NAVIGATOR].
When “VIDEO” is not selected, Press the “Red” button to
select “VIDEO”.
2 Press [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the title.
3 Press [OPTION].
4 Press [3, 4] to select “TV Guide
Explorer” and press [OK].
5 Press [3, 4] to select “Series Timer
Rec” or “Find Titles” and press [OK].
“Series Timer Rec” (> 30, Series recording, step 3)
“Find Titles” (> step 6)
6 Press [∫] (Set).
≥When searching using a word other than the title name,
enter a different word. (> 48, Entering text)
7 Press [3, 4] to select “Simplified
Search” or “Detailed Search” and
press [OK].
≥Refer to “Searching for the programme in the TV Guide list”
(> 30) for more information about “Simplified Search” and
“Detailed Search”.
8 Press [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the
programme and press [OK].
When “Timer Recording” screen appears. (> 19, Timer
recording, step 3)
When “Selection Screen” screen appears.
–“View” > 16, Watching analogue and digital broadcasts
– “Single Timer Rec.” > 19, Timer recording
– “Series Timer Rec.” > 30, Series recording
– “Delete” > Timer recordings can be cancelled.
To return to the previous screen
If you press [RETURN ], the unit may return to the
DIRECT NAVIGATOR screen.
To exit the screen
Press [EXIT].
≥Searching by “Series Timer Rec” only works with titles recorded via
GUIDE Plus+.
In the area where GUIDE Plus+ system is available:
– Download manually from “GUIDE Plus+ Data Download Now” in
the Setup menu (> 69).
– Download automatically in standby mode

In the area where GUIDE Plus+ system is not available:
– Download automatically while the unit is on.
– Download automatically in standby mode

Download in Standby” is set to “On” in the Setup menu (> 69)

To select the time to download in standby mode (> 69, TV
Guide/Software search period)

Press [2, 1] to select ”Yes” and press [OK].
The timer icon disappears.
