MPEG (MPG) file
This file uses the coloured image compression format.
You can display MPEG1 and MPEG4 (ASF) format
files in the library of MotionDV STUDIO.
The MPEG format file becomes smaller in size than
the AVI format file.
Non-linear editing
• This is a method to import (record) video or audio data
into the hard disk of the personal computer and edit
the data. This is called non-linear editing because
recording media such as video tapes are not used for
editing.
PNG file
This is a file format of still images and its extension is
[.png].
PNG is an abbreviation of Portable Network Graphics.
Rendering
You add special effects such as title, fade, and audio
mix in a clip and organise them into 1 video clip. This
process is called rendering.
SEQ file
This is a file where you can save the editing
information of MotionDV STUDIO, and its extension is
[.seq]. You can access the saved editing information
at any time.
TAP file
This is a file of MotionDV STUDIO that you can save
the tape information of the video device, and its
extension is [.tap]. If you save index information, etc.
as tape information, you can use the information
whenever you use the same tape.
TIFF file
This file format is a format of still images, and its
extension is [.tif].
TIFF is an abbreviation of Tagged Image File Format.
With MotionDV STUDIO, you can handle
uncompressed TIFF files.
Time code
The time code refers to time data expressed in hours,
minutes, seconds, and frames (1 second conforms to
about 25 frames). The origin of the time code is
00:00:00:00, and the time code cannot be reset, which
enables you to know the absolute position of any
video.
