Getting started
You must sign up to become an XM Satellite Radio
subscriber. After checking your XM Satellite Radio ID,
sign up on XM’s website or call them.

Check XM Satellite Radio ID.

Write down the ID indicated on the lower right of
your XM Satellite Radio Tuner (XMD1000).
Check the ID shown by tuning your XM radio to
channel 0.

Activate XM Satellite Radio. Select
either of the following to sign up.

Switch to XM Satellite Radio
Select [XM] on the Audiovisual
source operation screen.

Select a channel
Press .
When the category setting is on
Channels within the selected category can be
switched.
When the category setting is off
Channels can be switched from among all
channels in all categories.

Note:
Press and hold or to scan the channels.
Release to stop scanning channels.

Select a channel directly
Select the channel by directly entering the channel
number.

Select [Number].

Enter the channel number and select
[Enter].
Switches to the selected channel.
Select [Ret] to delete the entered numbers.
Note:
If the selected channel is in a category that does not
match the current category selection, the category
also switches.
If you have not signed up for the selected channel, no
sound can be heard from the unit.
(“INVALID CHANNEL” is displayed.)
Channels which can be selected are in the range of 0
to 255 channel.
