[SD] [CARD] [HDD] [RAM] [DVD-R]
You can:
≥Title discs with the DISC INFORMATION in the FUNCTIONS
window (page 37).
≥Title programmes with the DIRECT NAVIGATOR (page 40).
≥Title play lists with the PLAY LIST screen (page 45).
≥Title programmes while setting timer recording (page 30).
≥Title folders of still pictures (page 49).
≥Title programmes of SD VIDEO (MPEG4) (page 54).
You can enter up to:
≥64 characters (HDD, DVD-RAM)
- A maximum of 44 characters is possible when inputting a title
from the timer recording menu.
≥40 characters for a disc title (DVD-R)
≥44 characters for a programme title (DVD-R)
≥36 characters for a folder title of still pictures
≥44 characters for a programme of SD VIDEO (MPEG4)
Preparation
≥Insert a recorded disc.
≥Release protection.
- Disc (page 37), programme (page 40), cartridge (page 69)

- Write Protect (page 11) [SD] [CARD]
[1] After the titling screen appears
Use [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the
character you want to enter and press
[ENTER].
≥You can enter the following characters.
(1) This window shows the text you have entered (Title field)
(2) ERASE [;, PAUSE]
(3) SET (when you have finished entering text) [∫, STOP]
(4) SPACE
(5) The title displayed on the menu screen after finalizing of
the DVD-R appears. [DVD-R]
To enter other characters
Repeat step 1.
[2] Press [∫, STOP].
The title is entered and the screen disappears.
≥(You can also finish entering the title by selecting “SET” with
[3, 4, 2, 1] and pressing [ENTER].)
ªRegarding entering characters
≥To erase characters
Press [;, PAUSE]. (You can also erase characters by select
“ERASE” with [3, 4, 2, 1] and pressing [ENTER].)
≥To enter a space
You may enter a space by pressing [-/--] and then press
[ENTER].
ªUsing the numeric buttons to enter characters
e.g., entering the letter “R”
1) Press [7] to move to the 7th row.
2) Press [7] twice to highlight “R”.
3) Press [ENTER].
≥You may enter a space by pressing [-/--]
and then [ENTER].
ªTo correct a character
1) Use [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the character you want to correct
in the title field.
2) Press [;, PAUSE]. (You can also erase characters by using
[3, 4, 2, 1] to select “ERASE” and pressing [ENTER].)
3) Use [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the correct character and press
[ENTER].
Note
≥If you enter a long title, it is partially shown in the programme list
(page 39) and play list screen (page 43).
≥Still picture folder titles
- Titles are saved in the “TITLE.DVD” folder and can only be
displayed on this unit.
- Input is not possible if the destination lacks sufficient space or
has exceeded the maximum number of allowable files.
- The title may not appear correctly if input was done using other
equipment.
