Washing Bedding and Outdoor Wear
Bedding programme
- Make sure that the label of each item
to be washed shows either the wash or
handwash symbol (
, ).
- Wash only one blanket at a time.
Washable
- 100 % synthetic fibre blankets – up to
3 kg
- 100 % synthetic fibre futons and 100 %
cotton blankets – up to 1.5 kg (single
bed size)
- Sheets
- Bedspreads
- 100 % synthetic fibre undersheets
Non-washable
- 100 % wool blankets
- Long-piled blankets
- Electric blankets (including cover)
Putting bedding into the
drum
1. Fold down blankets or bedspreads
into a quarter of their original size.
2. Put the blanket or bedspread to the
drum.
Fold it while putting it into the drum.
Both ends of blanket should be directed
inward the drum.
Caution
Do NOT roll blankets or bedspreads
into balls, nor haphazardly fold them.
This may cause excessive vibration and
damage the laundry or the appliance.
Note
Avoid using blanket nets. They prevent
the laundry from spinning properly.
Outdoor programme
Make sure that the label of each item to be
washed shows either the wash, handwash,
or no dry cleaning symbol (
, , ).
Washable
Synthetic fabric outdoor wear, for example,
rainwear, outerwear jackets and trousers –
up to 3 kg
Non-washable
- Clothing with cotton lining or padding, or
down feathers
- Sleeping bags and synthetic fabric covers
Note
- Before washing, close any zippers
and button up the clothing.
- Do not wash clothing in laundry nets
by itself because the load will be
unbalanced and not be smoothly
washed.
- Water repellent finishes might be
washed out over time. To restore
water repellency, iron the garment
with a low temperature setting, dry it
in a dryer, or re-apply a commercially
available water repellent treatment.
If a treatment is used, follow the
product’s instructions, or the
instructions in the garment.
- We recommend laying down towels
in front of the appliance when taking
out water-repellent clothing after the
spin cycle because water may drip
from the clothing.
