Using the Supplied Software with a Computer

An image stored in the DV Cassette can be transferred to your Personal

Computer.

iSystem Requirements for PHOTOVU LINK & ArcSoft

• IBM PC/AT or compatible.

• Intel® Pentium® Processor: 266MHz or more

• Microsoft Windows®95/98/Me, Windows®2000

• CD-ROM drive (for installation)

• Mouse or other pointing device

PHOTOVU LINK:

• RAM: 16 MB or more

• 2MB minimum available hard disk space (for installation)

• 256 color monitor (full color recommended)

• RS-232C serial port (D-Sub 9-pin). An adaptor (D-Sub 9-pin male to a D-

Sub female) is required for a D-Sub 25-pin.

ArcSoft:

• RAM: 64 MB or more

• 220 MB minimum available hard disk space (for installation)

• High color (16bit) or more

USB Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card:

• Please refer to page 45, regarding the system requirements of USB

Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card.

^Connections

1 Connect the Palmcorder to your Computer (Windows) using

the RS-232C PC Connection Cable (supplied).

• Before connecting the Palmcorder to the Computer, make sure the

Computer is off to insure that images are transferred properly.

2 Turn your Computer on.

3 Set the Palmcorder to VCR Mode.

• For extended periods of use, it is recommended to use the AC Adaptor as a

power source,

• Refer to Computer or Windows operating instructions to identify which COM

port to be used for connection.

Software installation (windows® SS/SS/Me, windows® 2000)

1 Turn on Computer and start up Windows.

2 Insert supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.

• [Setup Menu] О appears.

3 Select the software to be installed from [Setup Menu].

• PHOTOVU LlNK(-> 43):

Software to transfer Image from your Palmcorder to your PC.

• USB Reader/Writer Device Driver (Ч 45, 46):

Software for USB Reader/Writer allows you to transfer images directly

off of the memory card into the computer

(Please refer to page 45 to install the driver of the USB Reader/Writer

for SD Memory Card.)

• ArcSoft software (-► 44):

“Panorama Maker^” 2000", “Photolmpression^“ 2000" and

"PhotoPrinter® 2000 Pro” are included .

4 Follow the instructions on the computer screen until the

installation is complete.

• Setup window will disappear when the installation is complete.

Note:

If a window does not appear automatically, click the “Start" Button on your

desktop and then click “Run”. When the “Run” Box is open, type in

“D:\lnstMenu.exe” and click “OK". (“D” applies when the CD-ROM drive is

drive D.)
