Technical use

Formatting the Card

Usually, it is not necessary to format the card

(initializing). Format the card when this

message is displayed “MEMORY CARD

ERROR”.

• When the card is formatted by a PC or other

equipment, format the card on the camera again.

[Preparation]

• Set the mode dial to playback [ ]. (P25)

Press the [MENU] button.

Press 3/4 to select [FORMAT] and

then press 1.

When this message is displayed

“DELETE ALL DATA ON THE

MEMORY CARD?”, press 2/1 to

select [YES].

• The card is formatted.

• After formatting, recorded images and any

other data cannot be recovered.

• During formatting, do not turn the power off.

• If the card cannot be formatted, consult your dealer.
