Connection

AV1 Output

Selects the output from the AV1 terminal.

Select “RGB (without component)” for RGB output.

Select “Video (with component)” or “S-Video (with component)”

for component output.

AV2 Settings

Set to match the connected equipment.

≥Press [ENTER] to show the following settings.

AV2 Input

Set to “RGB (Not NTSC)” when receiving or recording

RGB output video from external equipment.

AV2 Connection

This setting is fixed with “Normal” if you set “TV System” to

“NTSC” (➡ page 69).

≥Decoder: When a decoder is connected.

≥Normal

: When the VCR or a satellite receiver is connected.

Ext Link

This setting cannot be made when the “TV System” is set

to “NTSC” (➡ page 69).

≥Ext Link 1

: When a digital receiver which transmits a special

control signal recordings via the 21-pin Scart lead

is connected.

≥Ext Link 2: When an external equipment with a timer function

is connected.

Network Function

Select whether to use the network function.

TCP/IP Settings

Set this unit’s IP address and other settings.

There is usually no need to do anything manually.

≥Automatic (DHCP)

≥Manual:When automatic setting fails press [ENTER] to set the

following settings manually.

Unit Name Setting

You can give a name to each unit to distinguish them on the

network.

Factory preset: “DVD Recorder”

Press [ENTER] to input or change the name (➡ page 42).

Internet Connection

This setting is for features that may be added later. Select, and

keep at, “Off”.

Registration of Client Unit (➡ page 58)

Select a DVD recorder from the list of connected DVD

recorders and register as a client. Video titles recorded on this

unit can be played back on the client unit.

Press [3, 4] to select and press [ENTER] to register.

≥Use “Add manually” if connected DVD recorders are not shown

on the list.

Language code list Input the code with the numbered buttons.
