2. Escape from the prompt mode on the first unit.
Press the STOP button on the unit you wish to begin recording. The FULL indicator on the unit will go off, indicating that the
unit is operable, and the prompt mode is released. The other FULL indicators will remain on. This indicates that the other
units are still in the prompt mode waiting for activation of the SERIES IN signal on the rear panel.
Note: When the unit is full the FULL indicator does not go off even though the STOP button is pressed. If this happens
enter REC SETUP and select other than SERIES for DISK END MODE, then close the setup menu. Reopen the REC
SETUP and select SERIES, then close the setup menu. Try again to press the STOP button.
3. To start recording
If manual operation is selected, press the REC button on the first unit to start recording.
If internal timer is selected, press the LCD button downward to display [Timer REC] on the LCD. Then press the LCD but-
ton to the right or left to display [INT]. The TIMER indicator lights on the front panel. The unit starts recording at the preset
START time.
4. To stop recording
If manual operation is selected, press the STOP button on the current unit.
If internal timer is selected, the unit stops recording at the preset END time.
The next unit will start recording when the current unit reaches its disk end. The FULL indicator of the current unit turns on and
that of the next unit turns off.
The first unit will restart recording when the final unit reaches its disk end, and so on.
Series Connection Recording
Setup
1. Set DISK END MODE to STOP for the first unit, and to SERIES for other units in each setup menu. (See page 25)
2. Set INTERNAL TIMER REC for all units in each setup menu if you wish to preset specific times (See page 29). Skip this
step if you are not using the timer function.
3. Close all setup menus.
Operating Procedures
1. To start recording
If manual operation is selected, press the REC button on the first unit to start recording.
If internal timer is selected, press the LCD button downward to display [Timer REC] on the LCD. Then press the LCD but-
ton to the right or left to display [INT]. The TIMER indicator lights on the front panel. The unit starts recording at the preset
START time.
2. To stop recording
If manual operation is selected, press the STOP button on the current unit.
If internal timer is selected, the unit stops recording at the preset END time.
The next unit will start recording when the current unit reaches its disk end. Recording ends when the final unit reaches its disk
end.
Once the final unit reaches FULL, operate the first unit to restart series recording as follows.
1. Set DISK END MODE in the REC SETUP to other than STOP, then close the setup menu.
2. Return to the above step 1 in the Setup, and follow the procedures.
Playback
To play back a series recorded image, press the PLAY button on the unit. Refer to page 12 of the Operating Instructions for the
monitor connection.
