Paper Bail Release Lever
Pulling forward on the Paper Bail Release Lever moves the paper
bail away from the platen. Additional forward movement of this
lever activates the automatic paper insert function.
Copy Control Lever
The Copy Control Lever, is located on the inner right side of the
typewriter, just below the ribbon cartridge. This lever adjusts the
space between the platen and the silver pan just below it. This
enables the operator to insert thick forms or envelopes.
Cover Interlock Switch
Cover Interlock Switch
The top cover has a safety interlock switch which deactivates the
printer and keyboard whenever the top cover is opened.
CRT Brightness Control
The Brightness Control knob, which is located on the lower right-
hand side of the CRT, enables you to choose the level of “bright
ness’* or “darkness” that makes it most comfortable for you to
view your screen.
