4.2.2 Storing telephone number and email address in the address book

The unit contains an address book (300 items).

For 2-line LCD models ( ):

/MENU (repeatedly): "ADDRESS BOOK SET"

Select "NEW". OK/SET

Enter the name, up to 16 characters.

OK/SET

Follow the display to enter the telephone number

and/or email address

OK/SET

• A hyphen or a space entered in a telephone number counts as 2 digits.

Up to 32 digits can be entered (fax supported models only). (

)

Up to 63 digits can be entered (LAN supported models only). ( )

Note

• "EMAIL FAX?" will be displayed after step 4. To use the email address for Internet fax, select "ON".

OK/SET

• If the direct SMTP setting (feature #425) is activated beforehand, "DIRECT SMTP?" will be also displayed.

To also use the email address for direct SMTP, select "ON". OK/SET

For touch panel models ( ):

Display "Address Book" screen (page 62).
