*1 Select [Envelope #10], [Envelope DL], [Japanese Envelope You #4], [Japanese Envelope Chou
#3] or [Japanese Envelope Chou #4] for the paper size. To print on an envelope clearly, set the top,
bottom, left, and right margins to more than 10 mm.
*2 Select [Japanese Postcard] for the paper size.
When printing from a computer, the printer properties setting overrides the following unit's programming
features:
Media type setting (feature #383, #384, #385 and #386)
Toner save setting (feature #482)
5.1.1 Duplex printing
For example, to print from WordPad, proceed as follows:
Plain paper and thin paper can be used.
1. Open the document you want to print.
2. Select [Print] from the menu.
3. Select the unit's name as the active printer.
4. [Preferences]
5. Click the [Basic] tab.
6. [Duplex]
Select the desired duplex layout. [OK]
Select [None] to deactivate this feature.
You can also change the duplex margin.
7. Click [Print].
5.1.2 Sorting printing by rotation
You can sort output into sets of documents (collated) or into sets of pages (uncollated).
Important
Make sure of the following when setting recording paper into trays:
Recording paper should set in portrait orientation for one paper tray, and in landscape orientation
for another paper tray.
The paper set in each tray for this feature should be the same paper size and type.
1. Open the document you want to print.
2. Select [Print] from the menu.
3. Select the unit's name as the active printer.
4. [Preferences]
5. Click the [Output] tab.
6. [Sort Method]
Select [Rotate].
7. Click [Print].

You can print not only on plain paper but also on special media (labels / transparencies / envelopes / Postcards).
