Fish cooks very weOO by micro wave as it

When is Äsh cooked?
Fish is cooked when it Áakes easiOy and
becomes opaTue.
For Àsh with a strong odour, eOiminate the
smeOO after cooking by pOacing 00 mO
1 pt of boiOing water and 1 sOiced Oemon in
a Oarge bowO, cook on S,MMER power for
0 mins. :ipe out oven with a dry cOoth.
Whole Äsh
,f cooking whoOe Àsh together, they
shouOd be arranged head to taiO for even
cooking. Large whoOe Àsh must have the
taiO and head shieOded haOfway through
cooking with smooth pieces of tin foiO
secured with cocktaiO sticks.
Arranging
Thin ÀOOets of Àsh i.e. pOaice, shouOd be
roOOed up prior to cooking to avoid
overcooking on the thinner outside edge
and taiO. Fish steaks shouOd be arranged in
a circOe, thicker part to the outside. &over
with cOing ÀOm or Oid.
Liquid
Fresh Àsh shouOd aOways be sprinkOed with
0 mO  tbsp of Oemon Muice, white wine or
water. :hen cooking Frozen Àsh, add OiTuid
as above for even cooking. 'o not
sprinkOe saOt onto Àsh before cooking as
this may make the Àsh dry.
Noise
'uring cooking, popping sounds may be
heard. This is due to moisture trapped
between the Áesh, particuOarOy with oiOy
Àsh such as saOmon and mackereO. This
can be minimised when cooking if the skin
and Áesh is pierced severaO times with a
cocktaiO stick.
