Meat and Poultry
ingredients
SERVES 4
Sauce
15 ml (1 tbsp) cornflour
15 ml (1 tbsp) caster sugar
15 ml (1 tbsp) white wine
vinegar
15 ml (1 tbsp) orange juice
15 ml (1 tbsp) tomato sauce
15 ml (1 tbsp) sherry
juice from pineapple
seasoning to taste
450g (1 lb) pork fillet, diced
and trimmed
1 green pepper sliced
225g (8 oz) can pineapple
chunks, drained (reserve juice)
Dish: 20 cm (8”) casserole
Sweet and Sour Pork
Mi[ aOO sauce ingredients together. Layer pork, pepper and pineappOe in
casseroOe, pour over sauce. &over, pOace casseroOe on gOass turntabOe
and cook on +,G+ power for 5 mins. then LO: power for 1015 mins
or untiO meat is tender. Stir haOfway through cooking time.

25g (1 oz) butter
2 medium onions, sliced
2 sticks celery, trimmed and
chopped
100g (4 oz) mushrooms, sliced
4 chicken breasts
300 ml (½ pt) hot chicken stock
400g (14 oz) can tomatoes
salt and pepper
30 ml (2 tbsp) cornflour
Dish: 3 litre (6 pt) casserole
Chicken Casserole
POace vegetabOes and butter in casseroOe. &over, pOace on gOass
turntabOe and cook on +,G+ power for  mins or untiO soft. POace
chicken on top of vegetabOes, cover with stock and tomatoes and add
saOt and pepper to taste. &over and cook on +,G+ power for 5 mins
then Simmer power for 50 mins or untiO weOO cooked through. Mi[
cornÁour with a OittOe water. Remove chicken from casseroOe, skim off
e[cess fat and stir in cornÁour paste. &ook on +,G+ power for mins.
Serve chicken with sauce poured over.

1 green pepper, deseeded and
cut into strips
15 ml (1 tbsp) paprika
3 ml (½ tsp) ground cumin
400g (14 oz) can chopped
tomatoes
15 ml (1 tbsp) tomato puree
150 ml (¼ pt) hot pork or
chicken stock
175g (6 oz) button mushrooms
black pepper
10 ml (2 tsps) cornflour
30 ml (2 tbsp) crème frâiche
Dish: large casserole with lid
Paprika Pork Casserole
POace aOO the ingredients e[cept the cornÁour and crqme frkiche in a
casseroOe. &over, pOace on gOass turntabOe, and cook on +,G+ power
for 10 mins. Stir the casseroOe, cover and cook on Simmer power for 50
mins, or untiO the meat is cooked. Stir once during cooking. %Oend the
cornÁour with a OittOe water and stir into the casseroOe. &over and cook
for a further 5 mins on Simmer power or untiO thickened. SwirO in the
crqme frkiche and serve immediateOy.
